Small
Groups – This is the heart of Pathways
Community Church. We consider ourselves a church of small
groups, and we encourage every regular attendee to participate
in a small group.
Discovery
Classes – We present a series of four
Discovery Classes to help you get connected to others, the
church and to God. These classes - - 101, 201, 301, and 401
- - will be offered several times each year.
Pathfinders – This
is our Sunday morning Children’s Ministry. It is designed
specifically for all kids from nursery through 6th grade.
Pathfinders lays a foundation that helps kids learn how to walk
on the path with Jesus.
AWANA – We
also provide this mid-week ministry for children called Awana.
This Tuesday evening program includes lots of fun activities,
but also focuses on important stories from the Bible, and scripture
memorization.
Pathways G.Y.M. – Our
Junior High ministry is an exciting place for kids to be, in the
midst of some of the most difficult years kids face as they are
growing up. This is a safe place with great friends and staff!
Real2Real – High
school is a time where kids real need to learn to live out what
it means to be real in the real world. That is the reason for the
name Real2Real. This has proven to be an
important ministry in develop young adults who will walk with Jesus
for the rest of their lives.
The
College Group (Overflow) – College
kids are too old for high school, yet they feel too young to
be an average adult. Many have not been regular attendees
at church. The college group gives these young adults a place
to belong, while encouraging them to get plugged into the
life of the church, and grow in Christ. We meet on Sunday
nights at 7:00pm.
Cornerstone – A
ministry for mature adults who are working together to build their
faith and build the church! The Foundational Scripture: “As
you come to him, the living Stone – rejected by men but chosen
by God and precious to him – you also, like living stones,
are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood,
offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1
Peter 2:4-5
Men – We
have an active Men’s Ministry with a variety of events and
friendship groups designed for fun and for developing relationships.
We also have several guys only small groups and one-on-one discipleship
opportunities to help men grow closer to Jesus.
Women – The women
at Pathways know how to have fun, with fellowship events scheduled
throughout the year. They also know how to help each other grow
deeper in the Lord with a large number of small groups, and two
study groups for women who really want to do some in-depth Bible
study.
Prayer – The
Pathways Prayer Team prays weekly for the prayer requests people
list on their connection cards during our worship services. They
also meet to pray between services at 10:30 on Sunday mornings.
Then we also have a weekly prayer event for anyone to participate
in. Watch the announcements in the bulletin each week at church
for details about upcoming prayer events.
Celebrate Recovery – We
all have hurts, habits and hang-ups that we must deal with as
we try to live our lives with Christ. Celebrate Recovery is a safe
place that provides encouragement and accountability to help
you work successfully through the sanctification process. Celebrate
Recovery meets on Friday evenings at the church.
Missions – Pathways
supports world missions through regular giving through the Southern
Baptist Conference. In addition we support several other individuals
and organizations that are doing outreach. We also focus on a special
missions project each month, to give members of the congregation
the opportunity to serve or to give in very practical ways. Watch
for bulletin for regular updates on these missions projects.
AMOR – One
very practical way we serve in missions is through a monthly
Amor trip, where people from Pathways build houses for disadvantaged
people in Mexico. There is also a youth Amor trip in the spring,
and a college Amor trip in the summer.
Counseling – We
believe that many people can benefit from solid, Biblically-based,
Christian counseling. Therefore we provide Christian counseling
in our office at a very affordable rate. Dolores Nasrallah is available
for appointments on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the afternoons and
evenings. Call Kathy in the church office to schedule an appointment.
Opportunities to Serve – You
can serve others in lots and lots of different ways at Pathways.
Each of the ministries listed here has a need for many volunteers
in order to be effective. We have a list of the “Ways You
Can Serve” in every ministry in the church, right here on
the website. Click here for that list. Take
Discovery Class 301 to discover your SHAPE for ministry, then read
the list and pray that God would show you where He would like you
to plug in and serve.
