Pathways Community Church exists to Love God and Love People.

Our purpose as a church comes from a great commitment to the Great Commandment and Great Commission.

The Great Commandment

Jesus said, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, and mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’" (Matthew 22:37-40)

The Great Commission

Jesus also said, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” ( Matthew 28:19-20)

When our lives reflect this Great Commandment/Great Commission lifestyle, we are fulfilling the heart of the Christian message.

Crucial Heart Attitudes
 
No one lives out the life of Christ fully in all relationships at all times.  No one is perfect -- except Christ and those believers who have died and are now with Him. A member of Pathways commits himself to work together with the church toward living out the following crucial heart attitudes.

I. Put the success of others above my own (Within Scriptural limits)   
(Philippians 2:2-3; John 15:12-13; 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12)

2. Clear up relationships with others (Matthew 5:23-24; 18:15-17)

3. Live an honest life before others (Ephesians 4:25)

4. Receive and give Scriptural correction (Hebrews 3:13; Proverbs 10:17)
 
5. Participate in ministry in the church (1 Peter 4:10-11)
 
6. Support the work financially (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)
 
7. Follow spiritual authority within Scriptural limits (Hebrews 13:17)
