A LIFE WORTH LIVING…
This is what we all hope to have, but in the
real world, life is uncertain and challenges face us everyday. The
pursuit of higher goals can easily give way to just getting by. In
the midst of it all, we don’t need pat answers and tired
clichés. What we could use is some genuine encouragement
and practical wisdom from people that really care—people
who are sincerely looking for the best that life has to offer. Pathways
is made up of people just like you. We are a group of friends
who are finding out about God’s practical solutions for
today’s challenges. We are learning together that
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is the key to having
a healthy and purposeful life.
The
Keys To Life.
What
the Bible says about Life with Jesus…
- …for all have
sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.
- For the wages of sin
is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in
Christ Jesus our Lord.
- …but God shows
His love for us in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
- …because, if
you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe
in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you
will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is
justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
- But to all who did receive
Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become
children of God.
Four
Basic Spiritual Laws…
- God loves you and
has a wonderful plan for your life
- John
3:16 and Romans 10:10
- We are all sinful
and therefore separated from God
- Romans
3:23 and Romans 6:23
- Through Jesus Christ
our sins can be forgiven and a right relationship can be
restored
- Romans
5:8, 1 Corinthians 5:3-4 and John 14:6
- We must place our
faith in Jesus as savior and lord to receive salvation
Making
a Commitment to Christ…
- Confess — You
are separated -- not in a right relationship with God.
- Repent — Turn
away from your sin.
- Believe — Place
your trust in Jesus for a new life.
- Receive — Jesus
Christ into your heart through a prayer like this…
Dear
Jesus, I know that I am not in a right relationship with
You. I understand that you came to die for me; I’m
asking you to forgive me of my sins and to come into my heart
and give me a new life. I believe in my heart and I
am asking you now to be my forgiver and my leader. Thank
you for saving me. In Jesus Name, Amen.
